Chapter 7

For the next six months, life was like a dream for Faith. Living with Antonio was something in life that she had never experienced; so much joy, love, and having someone that truly cared for her. They had sex all the time and went out every once in a while, but that was okay with her. Faith was used to being trapped in the house for most of her life, so being trapped in a penthouse condo with everything she could ever want, was heaven to her. Everything was great, besides the fact that Antonio would go weeks without coming home.

‘Damn, I miss him,’ she thought. She sat naked on the white leather couch, which faced the windows to the view of the city. She sat quietly, thinking about everything with a cup of hot tea in one hand and her iPhone in the other hand.

I miss you. Can’t wait until you come home baby.

She texted him and waited for a reply, but never got one. ‘He’s always working,’ She thought while sipping her tea.

She reached for her laptop that sat on the glass table in front of her. “Might as well shop.”

Shopping online had become Faith’s newfound all-time high. Antonio gave her a seven thousand dollar spending limit every month. She ordered some new lingerie from Victoria’s Secret and a few new outfits.

“He would love these.” Out of curiosity, Faith pulled up the Google search bar. “It’s over, the past is the past. Why am I concerned about where I come from? None of that matters, look how I’m living.” The curiosity drove her crazy. For the past few months, she was able to brush it off while Antonio was home, but now, she had nothing but time on her hands.

Her hands began to tremble, so she went on to type in Black Ice’s name into the search bar and pressed enter. To her surprise, so many links pulled up on this name. She clicked the first link that read ‘The Notorious Serial Killer, Black Ice’. It took her to a main page and she began to read.
